広島大学附属三原中学校吹奏楽部は、部員数２６人の小さな吹奏楽部です。（令和７年４月末現在）
年間の活動計画として、三原市吹奏楽フェスティバルへの参加、広島県吹奏楽コンクールへの参加、文化祭への出演、広島県アンサンブルコンテストへの出場、スプリングコンサートの開催など、年間で２つのコンクール、複数の演奏会への出演を行っています。
また、部員にはソロコンクールに出場したり、地域の演奏会に参加したりするなど積極的に活動している生徒もいます。しかし、楽器はかなり老朽化していることから、多額の修理費用がかかり、活動の維持が難しい状況です。中には、４０年間使用している楽器や必要台数がそろっていないもの（ティンパニは４台ありますが、そのうち２台は Nikkan 社製の手回しのものです）もあります。また、バスクラリネット・ソプラノサックスはありません。
手回しでチューニングをするNikkanのティンパ二（1970年以前に製造）です。かなりぼこぼこです。
グロッケンはさびています。1985年～1987年の間に製造されたもののようです。
40年以上前に製造されたバリトンサックスです。修理には10万円かかりました。
生徒会から支給される部活動の費用も削減され、財源がなく、楽器購入費用をどのように捻出するか、大変悩んでいます。
そのため、この度、クラウドファンディングによりみなさまからのあたたかいご厚志をいただきたく思います。
吹奏楽の活動で地域を元気に、そして豊かな音楽活動の経験で子どもたちの生活や未来に音楽を根付かせたいと思います。

この度は、本校吹奏楽部支援のページをご覧いただきありがとうございます。
本校は広島大学の附属中学校として教育研究、教育実習、地域貢献の３つを柱に教育活動を行っています。一方で、部活動は運動部・文化部合計６つが存在し、日々切磋琢磨しながら活動に取り組んでいるところです。

また、私自身中学校・高校と吹奏楽部に在籍し、大学では管楽器を専攻していました。自分の大好きな音楽で地域を元気にすることができる吹奏楽の魅力を感じ、吹奏楽に育てていただいた人間の一人です。
一方で、昨今の物価の上昇による楽器の値段の上昇、そしてそもそもに楽器更新のための財源がないという状況の中で、楽器をどのように購入するのかということについて日々頭を悩ませていました。生徒には、「お金がない」ということをストレートに伝えながら、今の状況で我慢させている毎日です。
本校は大学附属ですので、財源は潤沢にありそうに見えますが、教育活動の一環の部活動であっても、受益者負担が基本的な考え方ですので、大学から資金援助していただくことはかなり厳しく、大学の予算での楽器購入の実現可能性は皆無です。
自主財源を創出しようと奔走しましたが、私たちのような弱小吹奏楽部ではチケット収入のある演奏会などは開催できない状況です。
しかし、吹奏楽部の子どもたちは音楽を愛し、音楽で人や地域とつながることを楽しんでいる子どもたちです。この素敵な子どもたちのためにみなさんのお力をお借りしたいと思います。

頂戴しましたご支援は下記の用途に使用させていただきます。
不足している楽器の購入（楽器の使用年数が長期である（40年以上）にも関わらず、新規で購入できない楽器や、使用年数が長期化していたり部品の入手ができないため修理不能な楽器）でのために使用させていただきます。
※いただいた寄付金額をもとに優先順位の高いものから購入させていただきます。購入希望楽器は以下の通りです。
第一目標金額と第二目標金額、そしてその算出根拠となる楽器の値段をお示しします。
第一目標 金額：800,000円（楽器の購入（クラリネット・フルート・ユーホニウム・グロッケン）、修理費用などに使用）
第二目標 金額：1,200,000円（第一目標の楽器加えて、大型打楽器（ティンパニ）の購入、修理費用などに使用）
第三目標 金額：2,500,000円（第二目標の楽器に加えて、大型楽器（テューバ）現在本校にない楽器（バスクラリネット・ソプラノサックスの購入、修理費用などに使用）

Introduction (self-introduction, background and purpose of the project, etc.)
The brass band club of Mihara Junior High School attached to Hiroshima University is a small brass band with 26 members (as of the end of April 2025).
The annual activity plan includes participation in the Mihara City Wind Music Festival, participation in the Hiroshima Prefecture Wind Music Competition, appearance at the Cultural Festival, participation in the Hiroshima Prefecture Ensemble Contest, and the Spring Concert, as well as two competitions and several concerts per year.
In addition, some students in the club are actively involved in solo competitions and participating in local concerts. However, the instruments have become quite deteriorated, and the club has had to incur significant repair costs, making it difficult to maintain its activities. Some of the instruments have been in use for 40 years and some do not have the required number of instruments (there are four timpani, two of which are hand-turned by Nikkan Company). We are also missing some important instruments, like bass clarinets and soprano saxophones, which we really need to improve our sound.
The timpani from Nikkan Company, (manufactured before 1970) that are hand-turned and tuned. It is quite worn and uneven.
The glockenspiel is rusty; it appears to have been manufactured between 1985 and 1987.
This baritone saxophone was manufactured over 40 years ago. It cost approximately $740 to repair.
The budget provided by the student council for club activities has also been reduced, and with no financial resources, we’ve been struggling with how to secure funds for purchasing new instruments.
Therefore, we would like to ask for your support through crowdfunding.
Through our brass band activities, we hope to bring warmth to the local community through our brass band activities, and give the children meaningful musical experiences that will stay with them through their lives and into the future.

Thank you for visiting our school’s brass band support page.
As a junior high school attached to Hiroshima University, our school conducts educational activities based on three pillars: educational research, educational practice, and contribution to the local community. On the other hand, we have a total of six clubs, both athletic and cultural, which are engaged in friendly competition on a daily basis.

I myself was a member of the brass band in junior high and high school, and majored in wind instruments at university. I was drawn to the way brass band music can bring joy to the community through the music I love, and I’m one of many people whose life has been shaped by it.
On the other hand, with the recent rise in the price of musical instruments due to the rising cost of living and the lack of financial resources to renew instruments in the first place, I was worrying daily about how to purchase instruments. Each day, I have to tell my students straight out that we lack the necessary funds, while asking them to endure the situation as best they can.
Since our school is affiliated with a university, it seems that we have plenty of financial resources, but since club activities expenses are expected to be covered by the students, unfortunately it is quite difficult to receive financial support from the university, and purchasing instruments through the university’s budget isn’t really possible.We have struggled to generate our own financial resources, but a small brass band like ours is unable to hold concerts with ticket income.
However, the children in our brass band love music and enjoy connecting with people and the community through music. Your support would mean so much in helping these students continue their journey with music.
We would be grateful for your warm support in helping these children-who will shape the future and grow through music.

Message from a student (Brass Band President)
Dear all
Thank you very much for taking the time to read about our school’s wind band project among the many other projects.
Our school’s brass band has limited practice time and practice environment, but we work together to practice every day. We are all students who love music.
Every day, as we practice our instruments and play together with our friends, we are able to experience our own personal growth as we become able to do things we could not do until yesterday better than before, and we are able to experience the growth of our friends as we compete with each other in friendly competition.
However, the condition of the instruments is not always good, and because they have become old, we are often unable to play or express ourselves as we would like. We want to do something to improve this situation, but we cannot do it by our own strength.
We want to perform more freely. We want to contribute to the community through music. But it is very difficult to do so under the current circumstances.
If we could receive your warm support, we would be able to contribute to the community with our music and practice with even greater gratitude so that we can cheer up everyone who listens to our music.

Purpose of the Project
Your support will be used for the following purposes.
We will use your donation to purchase instruments that are in short supply.
We will purchase instruments in order of priority based on the amount of the donations given. The instruments we wish to purchase are as follows.
Target Amount
To start, we’ll set a goal for how much we hope to raise, the second target amount. A the price of the instruments on which they are based.
First target amount: approximately $5,200 USD (to purchase instruments (clarinet, flute, euphonium, and glockenspiel) and to cover repair costs)
Second goal: approximately $7,900 USD (in addition to the first goal, this amount will be used to purchase a large percussion instrument (timpani) and for repairs, etc.)
Third target: approximately $16,500 USD (in addition to the second target, to be used for the purchase and repair of a large instrument (tuba) and an instrument not currently part of our school’s inventory. (bass clarinet and soprano saxophone).

Issuance of receipts and donation deductions
As this project is not a tax-deductible project, receipts will not be issued in principle. The amount of your donation will be listed in the notification email after your donation has been received, and we will use that as a receipt.
However, we will issue a receipt only when a receipt is required by a company, etc.
Receipts will be issued on or after the 20th of the month following the month of the donation.
Receipts are generally issued by e-mail.

In closing
There are many moments when I feel happy when I work as a teacher at junior high school and advise the brass band.
WhenI see a student playing a difficult piece or challenging himself/herself/themself to a higher level.
Music is a universal language, a tool that can connect all people.
Students challenge themselves with such wonderful music, develop themselves, and perform with no regrets, whether they do well or not.
Such a student’s expression is very beautiful.
